Amitabh Bachchan tests positive for covid-19

Tweet from legendary actor Mr Amitabh Bachchan on Saturday confirmed that he has been tested positive for COVID-19 and has been admitted in the hospital. His tweet also informs that test results for his family and staff are yet to be received.

Mumbai, his city of residence is by far one of the worst-hit ones in India since the onset of the COVID-19 outbreak. It has recorded a whopping 91,745 cases and 5,244 deaths till date, following Delhi very closely.

Mr Bachchan is admitted at the Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai in the Respiratory Isolation Unit. According to statement of doctors released to the media, his response to treatment is quite well and he is asymptomatic as of now.

Popular industrialist Anand Mahindra wrote to him, wishing him good health and telling him that he is cheering with others for him. He also commented that people like Mr Bachchan, have an inbuilt vaccine in them, code-named the Big-V, which is their inner strength and will power helping them emerge strong from these difficulties.
Akhilesh Yadav, Chief of Samajwadi Party, also tweeted wishing him speedy recovery.

His fans and followers from all over India has sent him waves of wishes for prompt recovery and wellbeing.
