IPL 2020 is to be held in UAE in September.

The Coronavirus Pandemic has turned the world topsy-turvy and brought everything to a screeching halt, including the IPL 2020. The thirteenth Indian Premier League was scheduled between March and May 2020 but got cancelled, as all other games. However, with the world slowly opening up and learning to live with the virus, the IPL is said to be held in UAE (United Arab Emirates) sometime between September and November, as it’s considered as priority.

The possibilities of the IPL being held increased as the T20 Cricket World Cup is likely to be cancelled whereas the Asia Cup has already been postponed. According to BCCI President,Sourav Ganguly, hosting the IPL in India is of first preference. However, if there isn’t any improvement in the situation within the country then there will be no hesitation from the board to take the game outside India.

Due to the protocols that need to be maintained during coronavirus, the matched will be played in empty stadiums in the UAE and the players are scheduled to be in the country one month prior to the tournament for preparations.
